Tom Bassingthwaighte

Sales Agent

A little about me

Tom has lived in Brisbane’s western suburbs all his life.  He knows the area like the back of his hand.  As a boy at Kenmore South State School, his early leadership skills led to school captaincy.  Later, at St Peters Lutheran Collage, he built his confidence and ‘have a go’ spirit in the Australian Army Cadets, rising through the ranks as a Non-Commissioned Officer and awarded ‘Most Efficient Cadet’ in 2011. Tom has chosen to forge his career in the property industry and is studying for his degree in Real Estate and Property Development (Bachelor of Business) at Griffith University.  Meanwhile, he has also honed his customer service skills working for a year in patient admissions at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.

Drawn by the energy and commitment people pour into designing and enriching their homes, Tom is interested in far more than simply the business of selling.  “Each house has its own unique story, and I have always loved delving into those stories and learning about houses and the people living in them,” he explains.“Being able to be part of those stories, even in a small way, drives me to be the best I can be, to achieve the best possible result for those people in that chapter of their lives.”

So it is with a passion for property and an extensive knowledge of Brisbane, that Tom has become an invaluable member of the Dixon Family Estate Agents team since mid-2015.  His energy, insight and efficiency are all dedicated to providing outstanding service for customers.

Tom’s engagement with our community and eagerness to contribute is also seen in his role as a volunteer with Meals on Wheels.  And, when time permits between career, study and helping out, he takes a keen interest in politics, catches up with friends, and enjoys relaxing at the beach.
